Privacy Policy
MoodIndex is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how it's used, and how it's kept safe.
Data Collection and Storage
MoodIndex reads and writes health metrics (such as water intake, calories, sleep, and activity) using Apple HealthKit.
All health data is stored locally on your device in the Apple Health app.
MoodIndex does not upload or share your Health app data to any external server.
AI Chatbox Input
If you use the AI chatbox to log data in plain English, your text input is sent to a third-party API for processing.
This API converts the text into values for water intake, calories, and sleep duration.
No personal identifiers (like your name, email, or account details) are sent.
The only output returned is structured health values (e.g., "2 glasses of water = 500ml").
Data Sharing
MoodIndex does not sell, share, or track your personal information.
We do not create accounts or link your Health data to any external identity.
The only external call is the AI chatbox text processing described above.
Security
All Health data remains inside Apple's Health app, protected by Apple's built-in security and your device settings.
You control what data MoodIndex can access through iOS Health permissions.
Your Control
You can change or revoke MoodIndex's access to your Health data at any time in the Apple Health settings.
If you do not want your plain-text input sent to the AI service, you can choose not to use the AI chatbox feature.
